There are trillions down in the Sherry triange in Jerez. about 2 hours from Ayamonte.
Biggest are Gonzalez Byass and Domecq. Harvey's Bristol Cream is also there. I ignorantly used to think it came from Bristol. Silly me. |

Hola! Andy,
Have a look at today's (Sunday) online copy of Huelva Informacion: http://www.huelvainformacion.es/
On the front page, you'll see one of many headlines that this year's grape harvest (which I think is to start on the 11th September) is forcast to be a good one - both in quality and quantity.
The article is quite long for me to copy & paste here, but one could babel fish translate it (a bit gobbled!) Have a look at the "Noticias" column, and click on "Provincias" for local news.
Vineyards are at Bollullos and Rociana del Condado - east of Huelva.
Here's a toast in spanish (perhaps a bit girlie )
"Amor, Salud, Pesetas, y Tiempo para gastarlos!" |
