Ok. Let's and see if anyone has (more) news about this subject ... It would be interested to know if hotels are "on" and " running" ... or not.

| Hi rmt,
The CE site is shown as having 2x 4* hotels and 1x 5*. This has completly changed. The first 4* next to the golf clubhouse was started and progressed well until the frame was complete, this was at about the time that Matinsa took over Fadesa.
There used to be an agreement between the owner families of Fadesa and Barcelo. Fadesa would build and own the buildings and Barcelo would operate them. Martinsa wanted to take the new group in a different direction and has sold off the hotel buildings in Fadesa's porfolio. Barcelo pulled out of the CE hotel so all work has stopped.
The other two hotel sites have never had any sign of work on them and now have new notices up saying they are to be 4* Aparthotels.
I personally think this is not good for the overall development at CE since any self respecting up-market golf resort seems to have a 5* Spa Hotel.
Regards,
John. _________________ Regards,

I believe RIU originated in Majorca. However, that's not to say they haven't been taken over by a Dutch group in the meantime. It will be interesting to see what others have to say!
