IKEA Deliveries

Hello,

I am a new member to this forum, although we bought in phase one more than three years ago! We also only managed to visit for a mere four days for the first time in June, again months after we had completed. So we are obviously happy procrastinators.......

My husband and I have been so lucky to have met Liz and Denny from Doncampo , who have organised an Ikea delivery for us. They were recommended by another Costa Esuri resident on BritishExpats site. We sent them an order list, and they bought the goods at Ikea Sevilla (Liz and Denny are based in Sevilla), and delivered them as we arrived from Faro Airport. We got beds, small tables, mirrors etc. Arriving from the UK, we had no idea that the lights fittings were going to be mere wires sticking out from the ceiling. Liz and Denny guessed that this may be the case, so had brought us some of their own table lights, which were simply life savers!!!
Fadesa had not managed to clean the house, even though we had told them we were coming, but at least we had a bed to sleep on and some lights thanks to Liz and Denny.
They have subsequently delivered some stuff for us from the UK this year, as they spent some days her in the UK this summer. Obviously, everything was delivered in great order. In fact, they had brought the really heavy headboards up to the bedrooms, which was more than we had expected.
Once again, they went way beyond what you expect from them. We did consider the furniture packs offered by many of the local companies. And we did get our sofa, dining chairs and venetian mirrors from the Mateos, the local furniture shop in Ayamonte. But we did find it a lot more financially viable to get a lot of our stuff from Ikea. With the savings we made, we could then get custom made headboards for the bedroom and really good linens etc from the UK, all again delivered by Liz and Denny.
