Am I being ridiculas in thinking I may need a tumble dryer with my white goods?
I ask because 1) the weather is warm to mild all year 2) the RAGO's perhaps don't have enough room for a washer and seperate dryer.
Has anyone else got one in a RAGO appartment? If so where have you put it?

Hola Andy,
I'm not at Rago, but when we were out last at CE (October), and the rains were continuous, it took me 3 days to dry the towels! Yes, I wished for a tumble dryer then! Why not consider a combi washer/dryer?
Also, depending on your community rules, laundry might not be allowed to hang visibly over the height of your railings (ie. no washing lines on terraces or roof terraces). The clothes horse/airer (tendedero) we I have extends widthways; so, it doesn't show above the balcony railings. Do you follow?
Regards,
Carol
P.S. There's also the laundromat in town for bigger items. |

Yes, we were out at the same time as Carole and on my wish list is a tumble drier for the rainy season. It took days for my normal clothes washing to dry never mind about towels! We had done a "light pack" knowing that I could wash and wear again any grubby clothes - we had not bargained on the fact that they wouldn't dry in a day! Fortunately, the townhouse utility rooms are large enough to fit one in alongside the washing machine so it is definitely going on my shopping list. I don't imagine it will be used often, but it will definitely be a luxury item that I will be glad I have when it is wet outside.

Andy,
I think the answer is to 'stack' the dryer on-top of the washer. We are waiting for a Rago 1 apartment; I've seen stackable units at Comet in the UK, and my initial thoughts were to place them in the small utilty area outside the kitchen. Not sure what to do about ducting ...

Hola!
Not sure about the Rago apt. design, but at Marina Esuri, unfortunately, I can not stack a tumble dryer due to the boiler being positioned above the washing machine. However, I have seen elsewhere (Islantilla) where the owner enclosed (bricked in) his tumble dryer (with ventilation) on his terrace (below the height of the wall, so as not to offend the eyes of the community). Any thoughts?
