Hiya all
Yesterday the Fadesa workmen were in the house from 10 am to 2.30pm and attended to several jobs on our (extensive list). Worked well and did a lot of grouting, replaced faulty shower heads and cracked tiles. Our sewerage smell ( see General - Back Yesterday posting) has gone. Not a whiff !
Pool open and lovely to swim in.
Loved the Villa Real beach, had (another) very good paella on the beach bar on the IOC beach. Excellent meal at Noosh in Ayamonte ( fresh tuna in a lemon & garlic creamy sauce......mmmmmmm.
Open air concert in Laguna Sq Thurs, full orchestra, opera singers and a ballet dancer....very cultural ! The music and all performances were beautiful and such a wonderful atmosphere, I felt so lucky to be there. The more I go the more I love the area and our home there and I have met some great people.
Had a letter form the Admin for the Commty of Owners re. Sky and met the men from the approved company...details later when I unpack. You should have a letter in your post box. Roughly ( I will check all details when I get chance):-
a dish on the end town house to service the 8 in the block
€200 to connect €200 - €250 for box. No monthly fee. If you want to sign up there is a €25 annual fee for a call out repair service.
Please don't shoot the messanger if this is not exact, this is the verbal info I was given, will put on contact names if you want them. I don't have Sky at home but we will have it our there as we intend to rent out our place.
Had a great ocean Waterproof boat ride with Jur...thanks Jur...will do the river one next time.

Thanks Mel, brilliant info. We completed our purchase on Friday. I need to sort out snagging next I think.
The Sky connection sounds interesting, as I don't think I can do without E4 & Big Brother whilst in Spain..... |

Hiya Andy,
Good luck with your completion, great to get those keys...at last.
Good article in the Oracale for this web site, I hope many more people start to contribute postings.
Re my earlier info on Sky, an earlier posting by Mike & Carol gives the contact details for the Esuri Administrator(AEA) The letter from the AEA refers to satellite dishes for LOMAS DE ESURI only. To register interest & to obtain a quote you need to email Per Simomsgaard at
huelva@aea-administracion.com
The company they advise to do the installations are SAS Solutions

Hi Mel,
Glad to hear your snagging has been sorted out.We left our list with Fadesa last time we were out .We are returning on Sunday and hope they will rectify all our problems then.
Last time we were out(Manzana 2)we had no gas supply and therefore no hot water.Do you have gas now?
Also glad to here pool is "officially"open .Good news also about Sky connection. How will we cope without Sky Sports!!!
Regards

Hiya,
Yes we had the gas connected as soon as the First Occupation Licence came through. Vanessa at Conforta did it for us - cost to connect €42.
Need the Gas to have Hot water, up to now Elec and Water are both provided by Fadesa.
Hope you sort it out OK
Best Regards

| We are on bottled gas (townhouse) and has proved very efficient...and cheaper. We may decide to stay with this. |

| I'm looking for a PROFESSIONAL snagging company in Ayamonte. Everyone down to the butcher and his dog offer a snagging service, but I am after details of one of the companies that offer a really thorough service. Can anyone help? |

Hi Keith,
What professional qualifications are needed for someone to call themselves a "professional"?
I noticed that Spanish Algarve Services have a person whom they recommend on their website. |

I don't know if qualifications are necessary as such.
I have noticed numerous solicitors, management companies, etc will offer to do your snagging, but what exactly do they check?
Ages ago I saw somewhere (can't remember where now) a snagging company and they listed about 3-400 different things that they check in your house, many things that it wouldn't even occur to me to check.
I was wondering if there was a company like this in Ayamonte. |

Hello Mel & John,
I am just reading through some of the topics on the Esuri Forum and notice that you had/have a sewage smell and now say it is gone. A couple of times that we have spent in our duplex the smell has arrived. I have reported this to the after sales and also with Fadesa up at the shed. I dont really understand how it seems to arrive. As our upstairs bathroom never seems to get this smell. ??? there are only ourselves and my next door neighbours in our Manzana, which we have not met yet but it just puzzles me so perhaps you may know of the reason or I can mention how they solved your problem.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Regards.
Ger

Hi,
I had this smell suddenly in my livingroom (only - not bedrooms) the day before I was due to leave. I do not have airconditioning, but apparently the smell comes from where the overflow pipes connect to the sewage. They fixed it in five minutes, by simply installing a "lock", preventing the smell coming up from the sewage throught the overflow pipes.
Hope this helps,
